Who We Are
Somaliland Peace and Dialogue Organization (SOPADO) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to advancing sustainable peace, inclusive dialogue, and regional cooperation across Somaliland and the Horn of Africa.
We work to strengthen peace infrastructure by creating structured platforms for engagement, supporting reconciliation processes, empowering youth leaders, and promoting cross-border partnerships that contribute to long-term stability and shared prosperity.
Our Mission
We design and implement evidence-based, community-informed programs that strengthen peace, governance, and development in Somaliland. By addressing root causes, adapting solutions to local contexts, and prioritizing sustainable impact, we support inclusive institutions and resilient communities. Through continuous learning and locally driven approaches, we aim to deliver lasting change and contribute to peacebuilding efforts across the region.

We envision a peaceful and resilient Somaliland where dialogue replaces division, communities actively shape their future, and inclusive institutions foster trust, stability, and opportunity for all. Through locally driven and evidence-informed solutions, we aspire to empower individuals and communities to overcome conflict, adapt to emerging challenges, and build a sustainable and prosperous society that contributes to lasting peace across the Horn of Africa.
